Play With Me - Rebel Hart

Clinton Clarke is the ruler of his school. He has everything he could ever want; a motorcycle, girls falling all over him, and friends behind him. Clinton has his eyes set on someone and he wants to make her life a nightmare. Rae Cleaver comes from the wrong side of the tracks. Each day, she is harassed and belittled. It gets worse when Clinton starts in one her. Rae tries to avoid him and stick to her friends, but he is all for proving he can't be messed with--he's untouchable.

Or so he thought...

This book was a page turner and I couldn't wait for the second book to be released. This book ends in a huge cliff hanger that had me peeking over the edge wondering if I should jump. I hate cliffhangers and I often feel like there are too many unanswered questions. Thankfully, the second book came out at an amazing pace that most of my questions got answered.

Hart created really good characters. Clint had a complex to him that most popular high school boys are lacking. Rae wasn't a pushover, she was a little spitfire. I enjoyed the way that Clint and Rae interacted and eventually started to grow together, intertwining on the journey of the first book. The supporting characters were decent and fit well together. Michael, himself, was a character that had a lot of attitude to him, but also had a lot of interactions with Clint. Hart didn't solely focus on Clint and Rae, she did an amazing job at roping in her supportive characters.

Verdict: This was a good book. Most of the characters were well put together and had great interactions. Hart created worlds for each of her characters, especially Rae and Clint, with their families and hardships. I enjoyed this book. There was a bit of intense moments and some hot circumstances. The ending was a bit unsatisfying, but was well worth the read, especially since the series goes on.
